Tir Asleen (named after the city in Willow) was formed in 2001 by Matt Stephenson ("Xipher"). We are a community organization where everyone is welcome to come out and fight with us. Practices are held twice a week on the ISU campus; see the "Practices" page for more information. Come by and try it out, or just bring a few friends and watch!
We use safe, foam-padded weapons in this fun, fast-paced, full contact sport. The rules are easy to learn, and we have several "veterans" who are happy to teach new fighters some simple techniques to improve their skill. Joining our club is also a great way to meet people with similar interests and make new friends.
Being part of a national organization, we travel a few times a year to national events to feast and fight with people from realms around the country, from Pennsylvania to Oregon. Attendance to these events isn't mandatory, but it is a lot of fun and another great way to meet new people!
